Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs

HOLIDAY HILLS UMC aspires to be a growing, vibrant Body of Christ where people come to KNOW God, GROW in god’s love, and GO into the World to live and serve as disciples of Jesus Christ.

HOLIDAY HILLS UMC’s mission is to GATHER as God’s people, GROW in faith, and GO into the community as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Methodist Community

Holiday Hills is a United Methodist Church in the Arkansas Conference,  www.ARUMC.org , and we are also a member of the National Conference, www.umc.org. Our state & national connections allow us to offer resources/missions around the world. A community that is united is a connected community.

We believe in:

One God – Who created this earth and all upon it.
Holy Trinity – Our God the Father, the Son of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Virgin Birth of Jesus – And he died on the cross for all our sins.
Resurrection – The promise of Eternal Life.
Heaven and Hell – We have a choice.
Jesus Christ – Only through HIM can we be saved.
Teachings – The Bible, John Wesley, and the United Methodist Church.

We value:

People – We are a welcoming, loving congregation that has respect for all people with regards to race, gender, or lifestyle.
Worship – Our worship is intended to be vital, inspiring, alive and real.
Biblical Teaching We are committed to growing in faith, and maturing in discipleship and responding in service.
Prayer – We rely on prayer for God’s direction, conception, planning and execution of our ministries. WE are committed to continual intercessory prayer.
Love – As we experience God in our lives, we are happy to celebrate and proclaim the love of God through Jesus Christ to others.
Growth – God wants the church to grow in faith and in numbers.
Outreach – The church exists or those that are not there yet.

To Gather

To Gather (attract) people from our community that are saved and un-saved so that all may become aware of God’s Saving Grace.

There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of All,, who is above all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4

To Grow

To Grow in faith so that all will be equipped to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and forever.” 2 Peter 3:18

To Go

To Go into the community as disciples and to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded to you; and lo I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20
